Meetings
Lab Meetings
Lab meetings are scheduled weekly at a consistent time and will run for one hour. It is expected that all lab members attend and engage in these meetings. Please let Jon know before time if you will not be able to attend. The format of lab meetings will change from lightning talks, to raw data and brainstorming, to polished presentations. It is expected that all lab members regardless of position will be engaged. As noted above, all ideas and questions in this format will be respected and aggressive behavior of any type will not be tolerated.
One on one meetings
These meetings will be scheduled between Jon and each individual lab member each week. These will be scheduled for 30 minutes. These meetings will be a chance to discuss raw data, how the experiments went, and what is next for the projects. These meetings will be casual conversations - not formal presentations. We will also devote the occasional meeting to career development.
Open Door Policy and ad hoc meetings
Jon has an open door policy. If the door to his office is open feel free to stop by to chat about a specific question, piece of data, or issue. If you would like an additional formal meeting, email Jon and we will find a time.
